Default A Little Tangerie

Here's simple shot of a single tangerie.
Camera: Nikon D80
Exposure: 0.02 sec (1/50)
Aperture: f/2.8
Focal Length: 50 mm
ISO Speed: 125
Exposure Bias: 0/6 EV
Lens by: Tamron 17-50 F2.8

in my not so expert opinion i think the orange is too bright especially with the flash point

KLNYC,

By my eye, you have a pleasant composition. Snapperboy may have a point; the bright spot on the tangerine may be a bit overpowering for this elegant piece. Seems to me that this is a place where rule of thirds need not be applied.

Its hard to not have any spot light reflection on the skin of the tangerie. The tangerie skin coating is pretty waxie already, so if you point any sort of light on it you will get reflection on it..no doubt about it. Anyway here's the edit pic. Sorry my PS skill isnt great niether

Good job! I must be frank though, the leaves on your first rendition were one of my favorite parts of the composition.
