Critique, please?

Hi Whyified,

I enjoy your photography. Here is why: your choice of color treatment is quite beautiful, particularly with the tree-line sillouette (sp) in the background. I think you pulled off the rule of thirds in an interesting way. While the forground is underexposed, I think it just adds to your artistic statement. The focus feels soft but it does not steel the beauty of this image and that may just be precisely what you were after. Thanks for including your settings....did you mean 1/250 or 1/25 shutter

the color is beautiful in this image.....a great capture of the dusky sky and it's reflection on the surfaces of the canoes....

if you have a larger original to work with, i would suggest "relaxing" the crop so that the three canoes are all fully within the frame...and if that is an option, i would consider toying with the crop so that you remove the horizon silhoutte.....with only the canoes and the water in a landscape orientation....

just thoughts....
