Default The Lookout

I use a Canon EOS Rebel Ti, just set the flash off and let the natural lighting take over the picture. The lighting was perfect for the picture, but something feels like it could be improved... Maybe the background?

Comments and suggestions greatly appreciated.

That's definately one of the things I was worried about. What about her hand in the bottom of the picture? Does that look like it's distracting or almost "out of place"? I think I might try to remove that as well...

Crop right in front of the branch and it seems to me a great shot other than lacking a bit of contrast. Feels a little flat to me.
Especially in the fabric of her jacket.

When I first looked at your picture, the first thing I actually looked at were the buttons. Not sure why. It may be because her face is a little washed out & not as focused as the buttons are.

Snapperboy - I do not mind at all, but may I ask... Is it just me or did you make the buttons have some more white space?

yea that was my only mistake
i didnt make more white space on the buttons i actually converted the entire jacket into black and white to get a little more depth
the extra white your seeing is the color from the original

Ok. Do you think the entire shot could look better in black and white?
