Default Christmas is over.

I seem to have lost A LOT of quality when it was uploaded.

If this was a picture of a gathering of stuff prepared for storage, I could see the idea better. Here there is general clutter taking away from what I feel is the intended subject. Consider what is in the background when taking a picture. Things you can do to avoid them is move the subject and/or your camera so that the viewers eye can focus where you want it too.

Put your original up next to your browser. What are quality aspects you feel have been lost? This seems to suffer motion blur from not using a tripod and too slow of a shutter. 1/8 second would require a tripod. This seems underexposed. More light via provided lighting, a little more aperture and/or shutter time.

I'm not sure what I'm looking at, I can recognise the wreath, but what is that it is leaning on and what significance does it have to the theme of the picture? Sorry if I'm being a little dimwitted

I agree that the wreath here is obvious, but I am distracted by trying to figure out what it is sitting on top of. Maybe if it were positioned at a different angle we'd be able to tell what it is?

the shot settup needed to be stronger, so we can figure out exactly what we are looking at. And yes, better lighting would have been a plus. I too did see that this is a shot of putting everything away to store after the holidays are all over. It is a thing we all dread doing!

Oh, it's just a little chair type thing it's resting on. Thanks for all the comments!

Composition aside, there are no whites in the photo. Upping the contrast might make a lot of it black, but I think you might be able to play with it on photoshop to resolve that.
