Default My Aurora

Last night was my first try on light tail/speed light using my Nikon D40 + kit lens. Here is one of the outcome, please critique:

Seeing a lot of these lately, but I quite like this one.
I think I might have walked past that tree on the right as to not include it in the photograph.
Strange enough, I think the part I like most about this shot is the detail you managed to get on the concrete of the highway. The street lamps really lit it well, and your exposure is spot on.
Great work!

Yeah the tree is distracting and there are A LOT of these light trail shots done as of late. Granted I've never tried one myself and I'd like to haha. I agree though that the bridge looks awesome in the photo! I think with a little post processing this could be a portfolio piece.

The tree wouldn't be as much of a problem if it was above the highway. But great job getting that detail in there.

Wow thank you so much for taking time in reviewing this photo. I also find it hard to look for spot where I can actually take a shot w/o a tree. Almost all place here got one (tree) at least. I like the concrete too hehehe... As much as I'd like to crop the tree, I'm afraid I'll lose some details on the concrete... any tips?

Actually I am thinking of editing the photo with photoshop... I am kinda newbie so I am trying to try almost all type of shots untill I get to find what type of shots I really like. BTW, try this one too... It's kinda cool...

The tree is not high enough, I might try cloning and try to remove the tree...
