This is our first attempt at high key lighting. We use a Nikon D50. We usually shoot portraits with the ISO set at 200 but in high key the background looked muddy. At 400 the background looks a lot brighter. We use Alien Bee lights. A 800 w/s light, with an umbrella shoot-through, set 2-4 stops higher than the main light was on the background camera left and a 400 w/s with a softbox was used as a main light if front and slightly camera right. I'll take as much constructive criticism as you guys will give me.

I think the lighting works well for action shots in high key. All my comments would be more for those cute models. This type of shot would really please most parents. Good Job learning how to use new equipment.

I'm not a huge fan of these no background portraits. So on that front, I already have some slight issues with it. But I do understand that other people like them so I'll let that go.

Overall, it is well done. But there is one thing that really bothers me: the hair in the lower girl's face. Since she doesn't appear to be jumping, I think you should have made sure that her face would be hair free instead of having it fall over one eye like it is now.
