Talking Gecko-licious

Here is a picture of Kumquat - one of my leopard geckos. She was a bit camera shy, however I overcame that by placing her in a dark calming environment right before shooting (I kept her uner an inverted bowl and lifted it right before I was ready to shoot - she was still for a split second after the bowl was lifted).

Any constructive criticism would be welcome.

lefty 82,

Nice shot. Vibrant color and she is quite a lovely creature. I see good compositional thirds. Catchlight in Kumquat's eye is present at high noon. What were your settings for this photo?

Looks awesome but its not as focused or sharp as I would like where you have the focal point. Any way you could shoot though the glass of the aquarium with a polarizing filter? that way you could slow down and really get the sharp image you want.

Could you link back to the picture on Flickr so we can see more details about camera and settings (plus it is one of the "requirements" of their terms and conditions)? Also, what lens did you use?

Wulf

Here is the information about the camera and settings:

f/4.0
1/20 second
ISO 200

The lighting was just indoor lighting with a white balance adjustment to make up for it. I don't have any fancy lighting equipment. I did not use my built-in flash, just a tripod.
