Mike09381, Welcome

Just wondering if this does justice to sculpture, or are you going for the "sun on edge" dramatic lighting alone? Other thoughts include curiosity about what, where, when, how and why of photo. Interesting for a first post.

It's a neat shot for sure, I'm just not sure what to think of it. I like the sun catching on the edge of the scupture, but I don't like how under exposed the top is. It's almost a silouette, but not quite as the bottom is well exposed. Perhaps a different angle would help... not sure.

Again, a neat shot just not sure if I like this particular angle.

Thanks for the replies!

I took this picture while walking back to my car from spending the day at the river walk. The statue was on the street corner and the street was pretty busy. I didn't want a bunch of cars in the BG so I went with the sky.

I wish I could say that I did the "sun on edge" effect on purpose, but it just turned out that way.

Perhaps I can Photoshop the picture and get the top a little better exposed.

Again, thanks for the tips.
