Looks well lit to me, and you got an interesting spectrum from white to green to dark grey going from bottom-left to top-right.

KLNYC,

You have restored my faith, taking one very well placed group of like subjects, using a basic good sense of lighting and composition, and causing your camera to perform an act of preservation of which you may rightfully be proud. Good work.

What a delightful composition, a yummy one too - simple and effective. Thanks for sharing. Yes, you should post this on this week's assignment!

Get shot, its got good contrast and fantastic colour, I also like the angle of composition. the only critique I could give it is the dark background. With food you always got to make it light and warm, where as this is a little dark.

I have only recently joined Critique My Shot and posted my first photo a day or so ago. I loved the comments - they were very insightful. But I have to give as well as receive, so here is my first attempt at a critique....

For me, this photo 'pops' - composition, colours, light, focus, DOF are all spot-on. The only niggle for me is that reddish thing in the middle top. I don't know what it is so my eye keeps getting drawn to it. It would be interesting (well to me a least) to see the photo with that cloned out.

But that's only a niggle - great photo!

KLNYC,

Nice photo.

Rex, congratulations on your first critique...well done mate! I must say that my niggle is the same but it just wasn't surfacing in my brain until you said it. Pickles are inexpensive. Do shot over (for fun) without the purple onion or purple garlic clove (if there is such a thing).

Good job KLNYC!
