Default Ferret stands still...

...if only for a moment. I have a Fuji S5700 so no fancy lenses for me however hopefully i can learn some tricks first. I took a heap of shots one afternoon of "Lily" not long after buying it. Most of them I had focus issues as she was forever hopping about all over the place (as they do).
Here to learn so... Ideas, hints, tips.. fire away.

looks pretty good for a ferret. I know all too well that you'll never catch them unless they're sleeping! LOL!
Welcome to the site and hope you enjoy!
There is a vast amount of info here and all you have to do is just ask!

teddirez, Welcome

If nothing else, slip into sport mode. Your ISO of 64 will rise, and you may get up to 1/250- or 1/500sec. Create a "photo pen" which keeps animal in sunlight for at least long enough to get what shots you want.
