The composition of the portrait is nice, but nothing really pops in he shot.
Maybe you could play a bit with contrats and/or color balance to give the picture a bit more kick? I'm not sure, but aren't you out of focus? Aaah ok, my bad, the exposure time is 3secs, so you may have moved a little during the shot.

If you're ok with it, I could modify your photo with The Gimp : a bit of Levels and a bit of color balance could enhance the shot.
If it's ok for me to repost a modified picture, let me know, i'll post it.

I was in "sun light" WB all day, and I forgot to change it for this shot. I'll go and tweak it.

Yay cool! The new white balance is warmer, it adds something to the "nature" side of the shot.
I myself gave a try. I saw the histogram was pretty centered -> lacks dynamics, lacks contrast. I compressed the histogram (a bit too much actually, but that's for the demo ).And I played with color balance to warm the whole thing a little. I don't say that the shot is really better that way, but I mocked up something that (for my taste) would give the idea of what I think of "better". ![]() As I said, I cropped the levels a bit too much and your skin is a bit burned. And I lost some details in the frontmost rocks also. EDIT : editing from a RAW may have helped keeping more information

The pose seems a little unnatural/out of place, also if the image is meant as a self portait then perhaps putting yourself in the foreground is a good idea?
I like the smoothness of the water though. |
