Default Wet Uprising!

I haven't posted here for a while....partially due to lack of inspiration and feeling inadequate and partly trying to mod more than post....
Thought I'd throw a Water droplet shot and see what everyone thought.....
I think it looks better large despite the blown out little bit around the rim of the plate.

There's nothing wrong with that shot!

We're all inadequate to Ansel Adams- why let it bother you? My work is thrid rate, but I'm a lawyer and an English teacher- that I can even figure out how to make the shutter open is a miracle. I take pride in my work because I try and I improve, not because I can measure up to anyone's standards.

And it could be worse- my wife is a professional photog who keeps telling me about "naturals", in a way that clearly hints (uh- yells?) that I am not natural! Anytime she posts something on a board everyone ohhhhs and ahhhs. Talk abou feeling inadequate!

thanks CP, I have just been in a funk these last two months...maybe the cold weather and grey winter skies.....
I do find pride in my work cause I can see the progression. I'm just one of those guys that picks things up very easy, never studied and graduated with a 3.9 GPA. You know the guys most hate cause everything comes easy....so this is a real challenge to me and I enjoy that but get frustrated at the same time. LOL!
THanks for the reply.

Hey, I think it looks cool.
Veyr beautiful colours, and the two smaller droplets just add beauty to it.
But yeah, it's a bit blown out at the ends.

i think it is awesome! i love the blue too.

totally agree on the funk- winter sucks! ready for some color back in my world (and good warmth!). I'm so sick of everything being brown or dead yellow...yuck!
good luck with weathering the rough patch. :0)

Love this shot. Very crisp, plus the color is wonderful.

I spent the better half of the evening trying this technique with no success. Not sure what I am doing wrong...yet. But I might peak at your EXIF to get some guidlines.

Be happy your not stuck in MN where it is currenlty 3 degees out right now. Outside shots are not on my list!

Seems a few of us have 'water drop fever' lately. I experimented last night and will be doing so again (I'm hooked). This is a lovely shot and you should be proud! Very pretty and well timed.

The color sure captures your mood. Who could say no to this?
