Greetings all... I went out last night, back to Kare Kare about 45mins drive west of Auckland as there is an old stone hut that is in ruin and being swallowed by wandering sand dunes that I have though would make a good subject. I was hoping to do a 180 degreee pano and have the setting sun on one side (right) panning around to get the effect on the hut. Unfortunately by the time we arrived, about 30mins before sunset, all of the clouds we had seen driving out had dissapated leaving a totally clear sky which resulted in an unimpressive sunset. However always the optomist I went ahead with my planned shots anyway as a trial run for next time.
Here's the first shot.... ![]() I shot this with a Minolta 50mm F1.4 lens and a total of 14 shots, 7 per row. This is also the first real attempt at hyperfocal focussing as well.... As yet I have done nothing to the image apart from stitching but already I can see a problem with the clear sky, you will note if you look closely that the gradiant from the right to left is not smooth, possibly because of vignetting. Can anyone suggest a way to correct this in Photoshop? As usual other suggestions are welcome, but I plan to crop and tweak contrast, colours etc. No plans to change the WB as I used an expodisc to apply custom WB before taking the shot.
