Default This Bud's For You

Taking PB's advice, and sticking the +10 close-up filter on my 40mm-150mm lens. I tried to keep it around 50mm, and left the circular polarizer off my lens, but for most of the photos I ended up in the 40mm-50mm range. This was one of my favorites from today:

The only post-processing was the removal of a stray bud in the bottom left corner. The rest of the set from today can be seen here. Some with filter, some without (and I managed to not blow out the sky! Yay!)

Tack-sharp! With some cropping (subject is too centered) I can see it appealing in an abstract sort of way.

I must agree with Clockdoc about a closer crop. Photo is nice, sharp, the bokeh is fantastic and last but not least those warm colors are great.
