Good Morning Bentwing,
What more can be said beyond jiminyClickit's sage critique?? Here is a question: Do any creatures live within the corral (sp) coral?

Technically you have a nice capture of the wood. I suspect there was something here that caught your eye and you tried to capture it digitally. Sometimes what we see in our mind's eye is best left as a memory as we can never quite duplicate the image in reality.

Normally outfitters use this corral for their staging point. This time off year the outfitters don't go to the high country on horse back so it is abandoned. The hole place seems rather lonely, waiting to spring to life.
With the winter lighting the weathered wood of the corral jumps out at you but I don't think I captured it well, if I try cranking up the contrast it looks worse.

Following on from jiminyClickit's comment, you may have answered your own question in your last post. (I like what is there although i think the deep DOF leaves too much for the eye to look at.)
If the corral is empty and disused at this time, use the empty pens and snow to show this. My first thought was 'where are the horses and cattle', it being a corral shot. a different composition could hopefully convey this straight away.
