Default The Project

Hi All,

Im not sure about this pic. I like it, but I think it's because I know what it is.

Without knowing what it is, how does it rate as a photo? Is it boring? Does it evoke curiosity?

Maybe im not making sense....

Im just not sure about it!

The Project

Hey spellbound. I think I like this shot

I like the composition and the uncertainty of the subject but the focus point makes my eyes wander a bit too much.

What is it? Is it possible to re-shoot?

Im always a a sucker for before pics of project cars so I like it.
I think focus is a bit soft and color could be a bit more vivid? I like the abstact feel of it
and the area you captured. Actual spring hood hinges?! Trying to figure out what make it is. Looks to be late 40's to late 50's but no idea other than that....lol!
I think a a bit more depth of field would have been a bit better. I understand the focus on the rust hole in the lip being the project and subject but think it would have worked if the entire shot was crisp!
You got a full view of the vehicle?

After taking a second look I could be totally off on my guess. LOL!

I too am mechanical- makes me want to get an air chisel and go right to work. The hue is the only thing I'd like to see different- I love rust in photography. This is alluring.

Default Looks like the hood from a 1967 VW

I was drawn to this picture and then I realized what I was looking at. Makes me want to run out and get a macro

HaHa..your title is not far off.... it's actually a 76 VW Type I 1600. You must know your veedubs? Maybe my sig gave it away

I can reshoot, and plan on doing so once it stops raining. I took the pic with my 18-55, not a macro.

I'll play around some more and see what I can come up with. I don't have many rust spots - luckily

VW now I see it. I was WAY off!
The curves were throwing me hence the 40's 50's era I thought of.
Would love to see some more of it....

Im planning some more. It's kinda hard because I have the body off the pan, sitting under my back pergola. Makes lighting a bit tricky but I'll try and get creative

Thx for the feedback on the pic.
