This seems a bit dark and dull. A levels adjustment and some additional contrast could help.
Maybe if the the focus was more on where the closer lines met, instead of the further apart lines? Or even just moved in closer and focused on the interesting pattern at the corner of the building. The symmetry is interesting but needs help. I like the idea. Maybe a step back? It could use a bit of rotating .

Hi rlarsen,
I like the palm shadow image cast upon the wall more than the actual palm leaves. Strong shadows can be as powerful an image as the real thing. I am not moved too much by the photo...it does not convey much to me and certainly that could be my problem. I had a strong feeling that the image was carved out of a shot that you didn't like much; if so, nothing wrong there as experimentation is what we do. Can you try another shot with an angle close to the base of the building (lying down shooting up or with a mirror) and try only to include strong shadows cast upon the wall? I am thinking that the photo name should be "asymetrical" as one side of palms is not truly in proportion to its opposing side...I admit that is a tad nitpicky.
