Nice composition and great focus. I like the B&W but I think barb wire looks cool when its rusted and weathered.
This might be a fun one to play around with and see the different versions you can come up with. good job placing it to the right and not the left. keeps your eyes inside the frame as oppose to "reading' out of the frame.

I was referring to the rust color. do you have the original? To get a better comparison.

i like the B&W but prefer the original i think.....
the B&W is missing a bit of umph! for lack of a better word.
Maybe if you played around with the levels a bit?

Default b&w edit

I don't have your original print, but have edited this one to demonstrate more "pop" for your b&W conversation.

Not sure what program you are using for editing, but i de-saturated the greens, saturated the orange and reds to help bring out/contrast of your rust colour, and provided some lens-vignetting to help draw the eyes to the focal point.

again, i was working with the low rez ver. so you will see some noise etc. just some quick edits to help with the contrast/pop.

hope you enjoy.

I like the shot in B&W but was going to suggest more contrast - like the version adacosta posted

Nice work! Thanks for sharing!
