Arrow My First Post : Morning Dew

This is my first ever post to this forum.
The title is pretty self-explanatory..this is a shot of morning dew forming on plant in my balcony.

Hey, welcome! I like the shot you have, the color makes it very interesting. The thing that concerns me is the sharpness - you shot this at F/2.8, which gives it a very narrow depth of field. If you shot it with a small aperture (larger F-stop number), more of the leaf in the center would be in focus. Other than that, I like it.

chiraghb, Welcome

Imagine if I gave you a tiny present wrapped in layer upon layer of packing material, all in a huge box. By shooting from the side, your photo has given us just a slice of the leaf with drops of dew. Leaning over them might give you a view of the magnifying quality of the drops, the leaf texture and color better displayed. It's a good subject; explore more with it.

I think that you got too much of unnecesary space, misleading the eye from the dews. A tighter crop or using unsharp mask in CS2 might help a bit. Thogh next time you might wanna use a base for the camera while using a Macro Shot.

The colours look amazing, try getting on top of the leave and just start shooting like crazy from all kinda crazy angles.
Cheers.
Good Luck.
