The Photo that Started it all For Me

I have been dabbling in photography since my High School Days. It has been an on and off thing for years. But in the past three years I started believing my friends when they said I should pursue it full time. And after that I have worked on constantly developing my eye and trying to study light and technique. And though I feel I have a long way to go especially on the technical aspects This particular shot gave me the courage to pursue this on a more serious basis. It may not be much but it's what started it all for me.

And though this piece has a lot of memories etc... I would welcome critiques. That's part of what has helped me improve is being able to accept critiques of my work.

It's a tad bright. However I would recommend trying to get the flowers in a better view, and probably more centered.

I agree with the possible too bright - I would like to see more contrast but I like the "off center" composition.

I too like the composition but would like to see the exposure brought down a little... it's just a little too bright... almost washed out. The colours could be great though - if you have Photoshop just try playing with the levels or the exposure, it might help bring out the flower a little.

Overall a good shot though
