Default Sunset Help

I haven't taken many sunset photos lately so any suggestions on this shot would be great. I always feel that there is no real good way to capture a sunset, the best way is in person with your own eyes, but as a photographer I will always try to capture the moment.

Thoughts ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?

Sunset

ooo yea

Shot in RAW
Then some mild CS3 to help with contrast
Then to JPEG

i loved the way you composed the photograph, and the subtle gold of your photograph.

this doesn't need any help at all! I think its great! I love the diagonal shoreline and the color in the sky is terrific! My only thought is I do not like the frame myself.
Sunsets like this are so great they tend to overpower any type of technical problems. Soe could say the mall boat off in the distance or the little bit of land out in the water is a distraction or the the timing could have been 30 seconds earlier or whatever but the result is so pleasing these things can easily be over looked.
Well taken shot in my eyes.
Now to pose a question to you.....is the the image you saw when you were there or did see things that didnt translate. This is frame worthy in my opinion.

This is a gem. Any other words expressed would simply get in the way of the beauty that you have captured in this photograph. You have a treasure.

Thumbs up Sunset Help

I live in Florida, so naturally I take a LOT of sunsets on the water. I know what you mean about trying to capture them as we see them through our eyes. Why IS it that the camer interprets those colors differently??? LOL! But often, we get an even more amazing (if that's possible) result. The sun setting into the water are definitely my fav shots and the reason I'd be hard pressed to live on the other coast

Excellent shot, well done. I think the composition is spot on. My only critique is that (to me) the light coloured rocks in the foreground don't look right IMO. Did you use a fill flash?? I would increase the blacks just a little as the whole image as a slight "white wash" effect. This would also boost the sunset colours as well. Don't let me put off though, this is a great shot.
