Default Starting to get into portraiture

The other night, me and a friend were just kinda messin around with different portrait shots (It's something I'd like to start doing more of) and this is one that came from that. Let me know what you think.

Nice work there. Here is what comes to my mind.....
- Try some side angles
- Try using a cap with a longer hood - so that even lesser of his face is seen (may add to mystery)
- Include some shadows?

I looked at your blog photos and think you have a good eye which should easily carry over to your portraiture efforts. Check out the Strobist at www.strobist.com for some great info on off-camera flash work that can be used in portraiture. I would encourage you to use a free flickr account to post larger images directly to the forum. It makes viewing and critiquing much easier to have the image on the same page as the message box. Keep shooting!
