Default Millenium blues

This has been seen in my original landscape thread by some but i thought it would be better to post a single thread for it in the Critique section.

tripod
Iso 100
3 seconds
42mm (Sigma 24-70 EXDG Macro)
f/2.8

There are a series of blue spots on the right hand side of the frame (about 1/4 from the bottom) but aside from that i like the picture. It was my first night out on a dedicated shoot and the first time i have specificaly looked at an object and thought "how can i get a more interesting shot".

My personal critique is that maybe the sky could be brightened ever so slightly. Next time i would like to get a more sunset kind of sky. This was taken at 01:20 so a little late for that!

DarrenT,

It is creative and it's sharply focussed. Some say: "Portrait shows excitement, tension; landscape is more calm, down-to-earth." Have you taken some vertically?

It is a good shot with that great blue! I agree with jiminyClickit, portrait would capture the "excitement" better.

The photo draws me in. I find the color striking and the composition pleasantly simple and strong. Nice work! Would you share your post processing strategies?

Thanks,
