Default Odd Fence

Yes, this is an odd fence along a bike path close to where I live. I had difficulty trying to figure out the angle to shoot this fence and, of course there are always physical limitations. I have a few wider shots that show more of what this thing is. I tried including the bike path but it did not do anything for me. I ended up with the notion that the only way to capture this was to get right on it. I would appreciate any assistance to unlock the the mysteries of the "Odd Fence."

Interesting fence, but that background really doesn't help it much. One thing would be to try getting a shallower depth of field to blur the background. Another one would be to shoot it on a better day. The overcast doesn't help the metalic tones very much, but I bet you could get some interesting reflections when it is sunny. Since it is near your home, keep looking at it and try to find the best angle.

geotography,

Is this the same sort of custom as meta's?

JiminyClickit,

No; rather the fence belongs to a local artist who collects and displays the locks and keys. Thanks for showing me meta's. You have superb recall and retrieval.

Do you have any suggestions along with Taallyn's comments? The fence is an oddity but I need to step outside of the box to capture it.

Best,

geotography,

Shoot at night, long exposure, "paint with light" all the areas that hold the most interest. Or lay on the ground, shoot against sky. Or from other side of the fence? meta's extreme angle?
