First goes to budiman 1905 and his closeup of a parrot

"Zooming in close reveals a wealth of patterns on the parrot's face. As well as the fascinating patterns that you wouldn't normally notice, I think budiman1905 distinguishes the photo with the balance of colours and capturing a sense of personality from the gorgeous old bird."
"Beautiful color and the closeup eliminates some of the distractions that might otherwise be evident."

"Simple, to the point, colorful."
"I like the simplicity of it and the "in yo face!" attitude. The seeds create a great pattern which, to me, almost give it a 3d feel. Good use of lighting as well and staging of the shot. Real thought went into this otherwise simple (yet effective) image. Or, maybe I'm just hungry?"
