Will you explain a little more about "blending" in Photoshop? Did you bring in each image as a separate layer and use the "align" command? Do you have (or could you upload) into your Flickr account examples of the different images? I would love to learn to do something like that!

To be eligible, does the light source (such as a table lamp) need to be set up and outside the frame or could it be naturally occurring (or at least appear to be) and in the frame?

Does that make sense?
Am I wearing my new on my sleeve?

I used a lighter for my main light source, which does appear in the frame, I don't if that helps though...

Your light can be wherever you would like it... in frame is fine, out of frame is fine... just dont do a me and almost drop it in the bath!!...

Default assignment: ghetto lighting

I must credit my wife with the idea for this. The image is raw from the camera. I don't know why there is such a purple hue (wish I had tried this last week) and the ghostly burner in the middle of the image. This shot is the only one with the ghost. I've done some post production on other shots and they look better but don't think they fit in the rules of these assignments.
