Purple Rain

"Purple Rain"

I wish it was a tad bit more in focus, but I was getting soaked while taking these shots in a local outdoor market, and I just missed the focus on this one.

I don't blame this guy for using the wooden 'bridge' to cross the running water. Those pants are priceless, and I'd avoid getting them wet too, if they were mine......

I love the composition! I almost took a similar shot, but with different food items. Grape jelly, a purple box of chai tea, Grape Laffy Taffy, etc. But I decided on the bear instead Nice shot of simple things!

Purple Angel

Thanks again, Grummom! This is an angel nightlight in our bathroom that changes colors. I also caught the reflection in the mirror. I tried without luck to capture a more focused image, but then I don't think I would have gotten the splash of color on the wall.

Please remove from consideration. I hope my new submittal is a better shot.

Default Assignment:Purple

This assignment took me a while..I kept hoping I would run into something purple along my daily activities but that never happened so I searched like mad for something around my house...my daughters ribbons for her hair...

EXIF Data
I know it's strange to quote myself but there is a comment I want to say because of the feedbacks I got from all of who saw the image in original size ...

They asked "how didn't the chalk fall of the blackboard when no one was holding it?"

I didn't tell them how because it will ruin the mystery in the image, but I admit that I didn't even think about this question when I took it. I want to say I'm amazed by how the lights and shadows can add a lot of mysteries and feelings to the images, I can answer myself though by saying "after all, photography essentially means capturing light"

Default Assignment: Purple

Purple: Grape Jelly

Like a lot of people here, I had trouble finding purple in my house!

I just don't have enough knowledge about lighting to actually take the picture of this that is in my head and this is the last bit of time I have this weekend to do this ... so this will have to do. Besides, the subject matter was eaten for lunch

Exif data is on Flickr
