Default New Beginnings

This photo was taken at the end of November so it is disqualified from the assignment, but I just wanted to show another interpretation. You have a wonderful photography place. Happy New Year to all.

Yeah....this bowl of MnM's haunted me the entire time at my in-laws.....every time I passed it and took a swipe I said to myself..."my diet starts January 1st".....doesn't everyone promise to make that their new beginning?

I was using my 18-55mm w/a 10x macro extender..just playing as it is my FIL's extender. I'd never tried it before.

Default Beginning With My First Post

Quite appropriate - as 2010 I plan to give my photography a real go, make the time to learn how to take good photos, and really understand how to use my camera.

First time post - so here goes:

This year I am going to try really hard to keep my garden alive. This is a picture of a bottle brush plant in the back yard - hoping to keep it growing. It also reminds me of last nights fireworks - so double meaning
