I always wanted to do photography, but was never confident enough in myself to spend the money on professional gear and start my business. I took this shot with my point and shoot. I chose this picture because it was the photo that made me step back and say, "Yes, I can do this." A month later I was out buying my gear. This is my beautiful baby girl. The only editing I did was lightened it up a bit.

This is my most popular photo this year...it may look like I took it in a forest, but I was in the city actually, in the bus station, when I saw this very interesting sunset
This goes to show the fact that you don't always have to go to far away places to take great shots. ![]() EXIF: Date taken: 24.11.2009 Camera: Canon PowerShot SX100 IS Exposure: 0.002 sec (1/500) Aperture: f/5.6 Focal Length: 51.1 mm ISO Speed: 200 Exposure Bias: 0 EV Flash: Off, Did not fire

![]() I recently upgraded to my first DSLR and continue to be stunned with the quality of images the T1i can produce. I was experimenting with different compositions and ended up capturing a brief moment of my son's joy at the park. I am quite sure there are a lot of technical flaws in this photo but I chose this photo of my daughter as my "best shot" of 2009 because I just love the lighting and how you can see every strand of hair blowing as she is running away. To me, the lighting makes it seem like a fading memory you're trying so hard to recall.

This picture was taken on Saturday morning December 19, 2009. This little ball of joy is Rocco, my new addition. This is my favorite photo because I love the background and Rocco's perfectly exposed facial features. I hope this photo brings a smile to your face...

Assignment: My Best Shot Of 2009
![]() Camera: Nikon D90 Exposure: 0.002 sec (1/500) Aperture: f/5.0 Focal Length: 50 mm ISO Speed: 100 Exposure Bias: +1/3 EV Flash: No Flash Taken on December 22, 2009 at 1.52pm GMT I'm saying this one for two reasons. 1) I've been trying to get a successful hair flick shot for months, and finally managed it yesterday. 2) It's by far my most popular photo on Flickr and has made my views go up x20 or so in the last 24 hours! |
