There are few photos I really likes and I know I'm still learning how to control all the setting. Last weekend when it was snowing I was trying to capture the snow falling and this pictures did just that ( I think), just wish the snow flakes was bigger when I took this pictures. The back ground are my children.

That best picture of 2009! That's really a tough one. Looking through all of my picture, I notice a picture that never really sticked out to me. But i think it just fits perfectly to the year 2009. Many issues, economic crisis, new us president, many people lost their jobs, companies went bankrupt and so on, are going to make the year 2009 memorable. There was a lot to write about and to inform the people. It must be a really hard burden to deliver the news paper in the morning, knowing that it is no good news once more. A really symbolic picture I guess and it also tells a lot of stories. That's why I have chosen this one.

I chose this one for a couple reasons... 1, because I love how it seems to tell a story. And 2, because this shot is really what got me going big on doing photography after it made the top 8 grand prize winners in the local newspaper's photo contest

![]() After viewing a Strobist tutorial, I lost myself for an entire morning in water drop shots. It was all new to me: the lighting, the set up, the patience required. This shot opened a whole new kind of photography to me. June 2, 2009 Exposure: 0.004 sec (1/250) Focal length: 105mm ISO Speed: 200 Exposure Bias: 0 EV Flash: Auto, Fired, Return not detected

This is around 2 weeks after I took up photography, sometime in october...I was struggling with maintaining a high shutter speed as well as keeping the picture bright! Didn't know much about aperture, shutter speed and ISO back then. So when after around 20-25 shots this came out kind of the way I wanted it to come out I was pretty excited. This is the 1st 'professional' looking photo I captured !
