It is of a WW II P-51 Mustang flying in very tight formation with a modern F-15 Strike Eagle Jet. Was AMAZING to watch in person.

Default Assignment: My Best Shot of 2009

So many great photos! Congrats to everyone who has posted on a creative and productive 2009!

Assignment: My Best Shot of 2009

My wife, 29 weeks pregnant with our daughter:

This is a personal favorite for many reasons, but most of all it just embodies how lovely pregnancy can be.

Basic EXIF:
1/200, f/2.2, ISO 100, 50mm
Taken on 5/26/09 with my D80 and 50mm f/1.8 lens
Full EXIF and some lighting details can be found on the flickr page.

And if you're wondering what the baby looks like . . .

Hmmmm, anyone else see familiar pics? Wouldn't it have been better to include the best photo that hasn't already been submitted for an assignment?

Assignment: My Best Shot of 2009
Taken on June 2, 2009

I chose this one because, with this photo, I finally figured out how to "break the rules" by shooting white birds in the mid-day sun. I also think that the water drops help give a sense of action, and I like that this pose is a bit atypical.

I kind of agree, but it was hard not to pick one that had already been submitted because it was my best shot, as I'm sure is the case with some of the others.
