Salt Creek

How's this for a "pay attention to foregrounds" shot? Though I have to confess I wasn't thinking of that at the time. My camera was fairly new then and I was still working on composing a pleasing pictures and shooting in program mode.

Some beautiful shots in this assignment... Love the moody schoolhouse longtymago!

Mine maybe not the greatest fit for the topic, but I think they do fit...

Avila Beach, CA- I loved the contrast of the grass against the sand, and the patterns left by the tide

Solvang, CA- Found this setting in someone's driveway and took the opportunity to shoot my new car. I loved the juxtaposition of old & new, as well as how the road seems to be beckoning my car to follow...

Santa Ynez Valley, CA- Cold Springs Arch Bridge from above

Default Florida Keys Community College

Two images from FKCC campus where I concentrated on the foreground while including the background in the composition of the image:

I wanted to include as much of the artwork in the frame as possible, yet not have the image look cluttered.

Here is a photo I took up the mountain in Gelendzhik, Russia.

I did heed the foreground here, trying to stress the mood and mystery of the rocky road disappearing into the fog.
