As soon as I saw the new assignment, one of my recent pictures popped into my head.

Taken from 5th Ave. and 60th St. in NYC

Reflections

I had to keep backing up to get the full building and reflection in the picture. This was taken handheld - I love shake reduction.

Default Great shot, vgal

What is this reflecting off of, I'm guessing a city bus? Love the purple/blue tint in the windows of the building in the foreground.

That day I got out early to hunt some good landscape shots but thick fog kept me from getting any.

It's actually reflecting off a low marble wall/bench on the sidewalk.

I'm so glad the color of the windows came through correctly. It was such a contrast to all the orange/yellow lighting around.

There are many interesting foregrounds here... but I like Wolf's dirty window the most, it adds the athmosfere of warm and cosy enterior

I just realised I don't have many photos that I took paying attention on the foreground... This is one of the rare where I did, and, as a reward I got extra portrait at the very bottom of the picture...

we had snow today, so took the opportunity to go out and take some photos in my lunch hour.

whilst i was taking some pictures of the town covered in snow, i remembered this post. So i thought to myself "what is in the foreground ?"

as i looked around i saw these sheep all huddled under the tree.

I like this picture a lot. thankyou DPS for helping me become a better photographer

I think I'd describe that photo as the town in the background, trees in the mid-ground and a pile of dead branches in the foreground on the left. The sheep are so small that they see insignificant. If they were your subject, I think you failed...

... but otherwise, I think it is an interesting and well-composed winter shot

I like the curve of the shore you have in the foreground. However, you probably could have taken a couple of steps forward and crouched down to get a more effective shot - the ropes would have been closer and thus proportionately stronger in the image.

This shot was taken in '05 for a project in college. I used a Canon A70 that recently passed away Picture is of the Allegheny River near Allegheny, NY.

This photo was taken in October with a Canon S3 IS. Photo is of one of the lakes at Salt Fork State Park in Ohio.
