This is a small very shiny silver jewelry box. Inside the velvet lining is my engagement ring. The box is set on a black satin place mat.
I zoomed in slowly. Took several attempts to make sure I had the whole box outline in the image for the entire zoom.

In this version the image looks like an x-ray to me. I did not do any post production on this one. But I have another one on my flicker page where I amped up the contrast and it has a cool effect too.

Can or will post production images be considered for the assignment? Or are pure images favored more?

Hi Michael Block.
Welcome to DPS. Great to have you here, and love your shot. I must take one this weekend to add to the assignment. Look forward to seeing more of your work.

New member, newbie to photography all around. Figured this site\assignments will force me to grasp some of the concepts of photography. I'll beat some creativity into me yet..

Anyway, here's my entry: I describe as one of my many nightmares about work. I just sat in my spinny-chair and moved. Created a neat ghost of my cup of tea..
