I went outside today, after our first snowfall yesterday, the sun was out, and i could hear the creaking, snapping and dripping of the ice and snow melting, so this evening i went out and captured an image that reminds me of those sounds.

"Assignment: Sound"
The Colours of Sound Speaker shots with light painting seem to be a popular idea for this theme but I thought I will do my own take on it with smoke. Even though I started shooting with the smoke and the speaker in the same frame for this shot I combined 4 smoke shots and the speaker. ![]() Camera: Canon EOS 40D Lens: Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 Exposure: 0.005 sec (1/200) Aperture: f/5.0 Focal Length: 200 mm Exposure: +0.70 ISO Speed: 200 Lighting - Smoke was lit by a single snooted 430EXII at 1/16; triggered by Cactus V4 Taken on November 11, 2009 |
