Default ***Assignment: "Noise" Nov. 4 - Nov. 18 Canada Geese Photographed Nov 10 2.56pm CST

Geese

Canada Geese, Branta canadensis, honking away in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, a typical autumn river and migratory sight in the skies. An example of both auditory and visual "noise" photography. First submission attempt. Hope this is correct

Camera: Sony DSLR-A200
Exposure: 1/4000 sec
Aperture: f/5.6
Focal Length: 300 mm
ISO Speed: 800
Exposure Bias: -1.7 EV

And then it hits you: the noise - the noise of 29,000 wild geese roosting out in the bay. It is most definitely a noise rather than just a sound - it is loud, stunningly loud, an oscillating, reverberating hubbub, a cacophonous din. Source visitscotland.com

The 'drumming' noise often associated with woodpeckers ... are territorial advertisements.
