It takes a week or two before they announce the winners, but it is posted on the front page, in the weekly newsletter, or in a post in the following thread: Digital Photography Assignments / Winners

Actually, not quite that long. A winner and two runners up are announced the Saturday after the contest closes on the blog (visible on the front page). After that, it will also make it into the newsletter and to the thread mentioned.
