This was taken a couple of days ago as I walked around Chicago with a buddy of mine. There are always street performers, but in times like these the number of them goes up....

I don't have any kids...though my wife thinks some of my photos are a bit childish (see "C is for Condom", which was actually her idea..I wanted to a champagne cork).

Are you talking about the white piggy bank? That's not me...I was standing to the right of the bank. If I had to guess, I'd say the top part of that is the actual flash. The lower part is the reflection off the table (not covered with black paper). The "person" is probably my gaffer's tape...I noticed it was there before the final shot (the pink piggy bank).

This was a frustrating shoot. Lighting was a nightmare, trying to minimize shadows as much as possible. The sound trigger was acting up (home-made stuff will do that). The piggy banks aren't cheap ($4 for the white ones, $13 for the pink one), and the first two didn't even result in a photo (due to sound trigger issues).

Outdoor furnace

Due to the depressed economy in Michigan, these wood burners are popping up across the countryside as people try to heat their homes on a reduced or nonexistent income. This one was homemade.
