Default The Economy: Street Vendors

IMG_2979-1

This is one of the images that I see everyday in South Korea. Maybe it's a characteristic of Korean economy. However, I always wonder whether it's because of the recession that a lot of people are pushed to go on the street and sell things for a living. I wonder how much money per day they can earn ... They spend almost all days on the street, despite of rain, of wind, of dust, of noise, they still have to do it, for a living.

And my take on the economy - The big guys seem to mostly flourish, but the little dudes, are left crumbling.

Assignment: The Economy

Money, money, money

Based on the number of "money" shots for this assignment, it seems lots of people think of money when they think of the economy. My impression is that this is how people "feel" when they get more money in their hands, especially during these hard times

Lens: Canon 50mm f/1.8 mkII

Default Assignment: The Economy

This window sign represents how competitive and slow the auto maintenance business is in this tough economy. I called the service center and at $9.95 you get up to 5 quarts of oil, new filter & labor is included. That’s Cheap!!!!!
