Default "Assignment: Architectural Detail"

Many times I passed by this building in New York but never looked up to see this sculpture!
Recently I approached Puck building from another direction and it was hard not to notice this gold figure.

Just to add my two cents worth...

I'm seeing some great bridge pictures submitted for this assignment, however I would think that they would fall into more of an "engineering" theme than an "architecture" theme. Furthermore, I would think close-ups would be more acceptable than full building shots as the assignment also states "detail."

I'm just politely saying that some shots my be off-subject...

Although...

The assignment states "buildings and other structures." Structures as defined by Wikipedia.com: "A structure usually refers to any large, man-made object permanently fixed to Earth's surface or in its orbit, as a result of construction."

So I stand corrected....

I thought I put this one in for the assignment. I took this when I was deployed to our regional headquarters in Oakland, CA. I was on the 12th floor across the street from this vacant building. The sun was just peeking through the side window and I just love the architecture of the building.
