Built about 150 years before she was born my 11 yo daughter sits on a bale of hay in our barn. You'd be hard pressed to find a nail among the timbers because it was all built with wooden dowels inserted into the beams. The way everything is put together the weight is distributed throughout for strength, and the length of time the barn has been standing means someone, way back when, knew what they were doing
