Default Up Close and Personal

DPS assignment "architectural detail"

I had a lot of fun playing with this subject. Didn't think I'd find much in my little area, I was wrong! This is the Llano county courthouse clock tower, only REALLY close I love all the detail that is there, being so far down below, you miss it all (see thumbnail for scale). If you click the larger view, you can even see the bird netting above the clock rim!

Up Close and Personal

(thumbnail just for scale not for contest... wanted proof I was up close, lol!)

While visiting Zeil shopping center in Frankfurt, Germany, I was amazed by how the glass façade gives the impression of a whirlpool. No post processing was made.

This is part of the "gingerbread" in the peak of a house nearby. I like how the design and colors stand out against the dark shadow behind.
