Default Assignment: Scary or spooky

This definitely sends chills down my spine:

Taken with a Rebel T1i
Exp. time 1/125
ISO 100
Aperture 13
Focal length 275
Taken in Morris County, NJ on 10/26/09

It's not edited, but I don't know how to be sure the EXIF data is retained.

I stacked a set (0.3, 0.6, 0.9) of ND filters on the lens, set the exposure for 15 seconds and let the camera pick the stop. My daughter ran out of the frame at about 4.5 seconds.

Camera: Nikon D5000
Lens: 50mm @ f/16
Exposure: 15 seconds
Very slightly desaturated in PhotoShop Elements
Great use of filters,
Awesome shot!

Thanks. Historically my photography has been snapshots to kind of augment my own memory. Very new to the SLR world and to taking pictures with the active expectation that others will see them, so I appreciate encouragement and constructive criticism.

I'm new to this. Was photographing a old car that someone had left on the side of the road and happened to see a hint of yellow in a clearing through the trees. This was the result. No editing was done to the photo, since I've yet to learn all the tricks. Anyway. Hope you enjoy. It creeped me out pretty well.
I like this. As implied in my own submission, I tend to find decay and disuse spookier than creepy-crawlies or boogey-men. Just sort of an undirected sense of eeriness.

Maybe this is why the cats always seem to be calling for someone?
I gotta say, I'm not really seeing the "spooky" aspect of this but I really love the depth, and the detail and textures of the foreground. Then, though, I'm the kind of person who takes pictures of cobblestone roads because I like the textures.

Default Angel of Sadness

I came across this angel this weekend. Took the picture at 10:15 AM, so obviously did a little Photoshop work on it. Still, the effect is pretty close to what I wanted.

Taken 10/24/09
Sony DSLR-A200
Focal Length 300mm
f/5.6
1/500th sec.

Any comments are always welcome.
