Default Late Afternoon in the Park

Took this just as we were leaving the park last week. I liked the way the tree was backlit by the later afternoon sun.

Default Assignment : Contrast

The road is in sharp contrast with sky on the right.
The sky is filled with mist hence we could not see anything else besides the road.
The road trip to Munnar in Kerala, India was simply awesome

An older picture, so not in any running, but I thought it would look nice here:

DSC_0026
Camera: Nikon D60
Exposure: 0.003 sec (1/320)
Aperture: f/4.5
Focal Length: 62 mm
Focal Length: 63.5 mm
ISO Speed: 200
Exposure Bias: 0 EV

Since the two main objects were at very different distances away from my lens, would there have been any way to keep the sharpness of the fire engine, but get the fire fighters sharper at the same time?

Thanks for looking,
William

Summer's Gone

EXIF:
Camera: Sony DSLR-A330

Aperture: f/5.6
Focal Length: 35 mm
ISO Speed: 400
Flash: No Flash
Post processing: Adobe Photoshop

Hi everyone! I want to thank you for appreciating my shot on "School Days". I miss the previous assignment on "Deadly Sins", but this week I'm back with my second assignment.
I choose my niece's swing as subject because I like the color contrast it creates with the vegetation behind. I also think it represent well the end of summer, which is what I was trying to portray.
