Smoke

This was a tuff assignment for me. I have never tried something like this. Also the photo program I have is PhotoImpact and I still have not learned a huge part of it, and the instructions for other programs don't seem to help me. But I kept on playing and I have three shots I could live with if I had to. Assignment:smoke. I think I lean towards this one.

Well, I'd have to say this has been a tough one for me, too. I've never photographed smoke before. I took a few shots of just smoke, and although some of them were pretty cool, they certainly weren't unique. So, I'll go with the cigarette smoke theme. Not all that unique, either - but a better picture than my "just smoke" shots. Here it is:

Here's my entry--I should say 'our' entry as my 12 year old daughter actually took this shot. We were cooking supper tonight(after finding this forum today!) and inspiration struck me, I called out to her, she grabbed my camera and this is what we got:



All we did to this shot was sharpen it a bit in Picasa2--the lighting was the setting sun shining in the window, isn't that coolie? (Remember, we're new at this lol)
