Now sitting in a field, almost thirty years later, new life is growing all around it. There are sprouting weeds in the ash filled cab and engine compartment as well as a tree growing up thru the rear frame-rails, forever anchoring it where it sits.
Been there! That truck is very cool.

Default Assignment: "Trucks

I was going home when I saw a number of trucks lining up for their turn to enter in the main gate of the bottling plant. Then took these picture at the rear. I like it for it shows a moving truck and a stationary one like two worlds collide. FYI , I was nearly bumped by the motorcycle in the middle which I didn't see it coming from behind. LOL ,, just smiled when I realized it could damage my beloved camera if I was hit.

Assingment: Trucks

I was home last week and went to the inlaw's old farm and just happened to take this picture of the old farm truck right before a big storm. I don't know the exact model (I'll have to ask my grandfather in-law) but I believe it is a Mercury truck from the 50's that has now been sitting in a field for quite some time.

I have to admit, I was *really* hoping you were gonna say you took this shot ages ago so it wouldn't qualify
very VERY nice shot Dr Drill. I love the contrast between the field and the sky. and there's nice detail in both

Default The wrong place to break down!

I love the emptiness of this picture, we were going along on quad bikes in the Sinai desert, Egypt and we past this truck all alone.
It's like the owner walked off to fetch a part or something.

I think the best way is to link to Flickr if you have it, I used to resize images to upload but it destroys the quality.
If you have Flickr just go to the photo's page, click on 'all sizes', select medium then copy the html coding from the box below.

Nice shot btw!

What are the rules for these contests as far as what adjustments can be made? (cropping, RAW adjustments, etc.) OP's sample attached shot is definitely HDR. I'm assuming that's a no no?
