Assignment:Coffee
Really big thanks to Bon-Amici, a cafe in Toowoomba Qld. I was up there for work, and love to grab a coffee from there whenever I'm in town. I asked if I could jump behind the counter and take some shot of coffee being poured. However I made a rookie mistake, too high an ISO, and didn't account for light and movement... not one of those shots were any good. However as I sat down to enjoy my expresso, I chose a table with some really unique lighting curtosy of a down light, and some sunlight coming in through the windows. So I still got a shot I really liked. Hopefully you do as well.

Assignment: Coffee
This is my second assignment I personaly don't like the taste of coffee, but my father does And sometimes I watch him drink coffee while he's doing his work. And I remember this one day when I was about 13 years old and I asked him why he likes to drink coffee so much. And he said that he likes the taste so much that he got addicted to it. So I figured coffee is his treasure. And that's where this idea came from. For some people coffee really is a treasure ![]() ![]() EXIF: - Camera: Canon EOS 400D - Exposure: 0.5 sec (1/2) - Aperture: f/11 - Focal length: 38mm - ISO: 100 - Flash: Not fired

skyman8,
Great idea and execution. I really like the color tone which matches coffee mood and the lightning. Quote:

Assignment: Coffee
![]() So I don't drink coffee...never liked the stuff...and when presented with an assignment to come up with a creative photo of "coffee" I came up with this. My drink of choice in the morning is orange juice. So why do I own a coffee maker you ask? It's for our coffee-drinking visitors!
