Here's my first submission to DPS assignment.
Feels so good to learn from all of you guys. Where the troops gathered for a homecoming parade, there were also a number of veterans, relatives and other people somehow related to the event. This gentleman stood out because, for me, he represented the England of old. It might not be humour, but I simply have to smile when I look into those smiling eyes! It reminds me of the 'old fashioned' british humour, which was so much subtler than the sometimes very coarse stuff that purports to be humour these days.

In Paris a few weeks ago, my friend from Australia found that his sense of humour and Belgian beer seemed to go together...
