I've been very inactive lately. (My kids are getting the better of me!) But here are a few portraits of my younger daughter.

Here's one I took a couple of years back of some friends of mine. It was taken with my camcorder while I was filming them. Grainy, but I kinda like the effect. Almost threw it out.

Jack Damage

Here's the name of there band. Sort of a Portrait.

Self Portrait with Bass
Self portrait, taken this morning. I ended up balancing the bass in position as my marker then using the self timer - I know I ended up a little more blurry than the bass but I like that effect.

I've done a little post processing, to remove a distraction from the background and to adjust the colours and contrast a bit but it is otherwise "as is".

Been reading the dps mails for quite a while now, and here's my first post in the forum so bear with me if it doesn't work out as it should.
Hope you like them.

In my archive I've got portraits in both formats, and even a 3rd one!

The first is a "normal" one, being in portait mode (and also stealth mode, as she didn't see me taking that picture )

Here's one of our youngest. As it was really a surprise shot, I didn't have time turning the camera. And I'm glad I didn't, 'coz I really like it that way.

And here's the 3rd format: square! I've been using a normal size camera, but I cropped off the woman's boyfriend, and thus ended with a square format picture. This is the only one of the three I've been postprocessing. As the subject was rather close, even with a big aperture the background was disturbing (because too visible). So I copied the background to another layer and blurred it.

Cheers,

Vincent
