I have to admit.. this picture that I took for my son was done last May.. I just want to share it.. too bad I'm not with him right now due to work.. I have to be somewhere else in the planet.

I work for a Field Artillery unit on Fort Lewis, and the guys tend to hate posing for me, so I get a lot of candid shots of them. This is one of our combat medics, SPC Daniel Dominguez, at a battery BBQ today (2 July 2009). It also is one of the rare times that I get to see everyone dressed in anything other than their uniform, and he very obviously is a Longhorn fan!
This 4th of July weekend will be the last weekend many of them get to spend with their families before they take off for Afghanistan for a 12-month deployment.![]() EXIF Data: Camera: Nikon D60 Exposure: 0.008 sec (1/125) Aperture: f/5.6 Focal Length: 55 mm ISO Speed: 100 Exposure Bias: 0 EV Flash: No Flash

A really great B&W shot - but I do agree.... the hands ARE distracting. How did you make your reflector? :-) Last edited by wulf; 07-03-2009 at 07:04 AM. Reason: Quoted pic |

Lovely shot! I think it's a bit overexposed, needs to be toned down a bit to create a bit more contrast. :-) Last edited by wulf; 07-03-2009 at 07:04 AM. Reason: Quoted pic |
